NYJPW Oradell Center, 194 John Street, Oradell, New Jersey, September 3, 2006

What You Did What You Got

John and Penny Wang worked very hard on their garden this year. John had planted tomato, as usual, and melon which seeds got from China home town. This year's summer had enough sun shrine to dry the soil and enough rain to water the plants. Tomatos are grew so beautifully and even birds like it to peak a hole to drink the juice inside. Guess who else had visited their graden and tasted the tomatos? Squirrels and rabbits were also like to taste the Jersey delicious tomatos.

When kids came home for the weekend, John asked them to help the garden work. It helps to execise their body moves and also make them feel good when they are eating the red tomatos. Besides tomatos, John also grew melon, called Hu Gua. John got the seeds from a couple of his friend and they grew this kind of melon every year and saved the seeds which original came from China. The melon grew good in the summer, especially liked the hot weather. You can see how well growth it is. Do you grow any plants or flowers in your garden? Try to do it in next summer. Let us know if you need any help.
