  • Demonstration of the Make-Up & Hair Dress Techniques for A Man - Lao Sheng in Chinese Opera

    In Chinese Opera the make-up and hair dress techniques usually demonstrate by the make-up and hair dress artists for female, such as Dan or Chin Yi. In preparing the poster for the upcoming Chinese Opera production "The Orphan of Zhao", NYJPW president Cheng-Hua Wang is putting the make-up for her role Chen Yin. Her teacher Shu Zhang, musician Wu Liang and make-up artist Yang Gui Ying have helped her and demonstrated step by step procedures for the make-up and hair dress techniques at NYJPW Arts & Cultural Gallery, Oradell, New Jersey. Specific steps such as Bao Tao, Diao Mei in Hair Dressing and dress up with a set of custom can be easily seen in the following pictures.
