Mr. Liu Zhenguo is a world first class Chinese Opera Jinghu performing artist. He has created a unique style of accompanying actor's singing on-stage so that the audiences are totally attracted by the performance on stage. This is the reason why many famous actors competed to have Mr. Liu cooperated with them on stage. Mr. Liu had cooperated with the Grand Master Ma Changli for more than ten years. Being the first Jinghu player at the most prestigious Peking Opera Theater in the world, Mr. Liu has cooperated with many famous Peking Opera performing artists.

Mr. Liu inherited the talent from his legendary Peking Opera family. He received his music training from his granfather since he was four years old. At the age of eight, Mr. Liu started his professional training in performing the most important musical instrument for Peking Opera, Jinghu. At the age of 18, Mr. Liu graduated from China Drama School with the major of music and was retained as a teaching faculty by the same institute right after his graduation because of his extraordinary achievement and exceptional talent. Mr. Liu was the youngest Jinghu teacher at China Drama School in the school's history. In order to ensure the great performance, Chinese Opera singer is always carefully choosen the best Jinghu player. Mr. Liu, at age of 23, was selected as Master Ma Changli's cooperating Jinghu player, among the entire candidates nation wide. It was a great honor to Mr. Liu in the Jinghu field of Peking Opera.

Mr. Liu has established a unique "Liu Style" on Jinghu playing with his extremely talented Peking Opera musicial understanding. Many of his performing skills are now imitated by young musicians in China and the United States. The commercial audiocassette entitled "A Collection of Ma Changli Sing Excerpt Performed by Zhenguo Liu" has been sold in China, Taiwan, Hong Kong, South East Asian and the United States as one of the most populared classical piece of Peking Opera. Mr. Liu has received sustained national and international awards throughout the years. He has held the position of the First Jinghu Performer at Beijing Peking Opera Theater for more than 10 years. Mr. Liu was approved by Chinese Central Government as the Outstanding Expert of China Culture Ministry of 1992, the highest honor given to a few authoritative experts in defferent field in China. Mr. Liu has also been appointed as a judge for The National Peking Instrumental Music Competition.

Mr. Liu has been introduced to NYJPW by many other Chinese Opera groups. Mr. Liu has provided his expertises and trained NYJPW team members with better method to sing Chinese Opera. It has made a significant improvement to NYJPW upcoming show, Yang Si Lang Visit His Mother, which will be presented at Taipei Theater on December, 1999. NYJPW has appointed Mr. Liu to be the director of the music group and leading with Jinghu performance. NYJPW, with the great appreciation, has presented an Award of Excellence to Mr. Liu for his extraordinary talents in Chinese Peking Opera.
