NYJPW has been invited to celebrate the Chinese New Year and Chinese Heritage event with students and their families of Yale University on February 28, 2003. This event is organized by Yale University Chinese American Students's Association and presented by many groups including silk ribben dance, phoenix dance, lion dance, fashion show and acrobatical show, etc. for the cultural show to celebrate Chinese heritage. The performance was held on Friday, February 28, at Harkness Auditorium, the Sterling Hall of Medicine's Harkness Auditorium, Yale University. Many appreciative audience have attended and enjoyed the show. This performance is organized by CASA Cultural Chair
Jessica Fei.

NYJPW artists Li Dan Hong has performed the traditional cultural sword dance and silk ribbon dance. Li Dan Hong is one of the NYJPW members since 1998. NYJPW is the proud sponsor to promote Li Dan Hong's artistic talent affective influenced the arts and cultural society in the United States of American. Li Dan Hong was one of the first Chinese artists to be elected to dance on the 73rd Oscar Academy Award Ceremony in Los Angeles, CA, March 25, 2001. Li Dan Hong currently operates her own Chinese Opera Group "Li Xiao Dan Beijing Opera Association" and provides classical performance from time to time in New York and other states.
