NYJPW Monkey King Performance at Homecrest Senior Center Chinese New Year Celebration | |||
Chinese Opera "Monkey King" is one of the most popular programs in Chinese Opera. In any kind of celebration party, this is the favorite program for all ages, especially for children. The monkey's behavior, the acrobatic movement, and the funny acting, etc. will leave an unforgettable memory to the audience.
The committ leader of Homecrest Senior Center in Brooklyn, Yin Shih Yin studied in the same College that Penny Cheng-Hua Wang attended, Chinese Cultural University. Yin invited Penny and NYJPW artists Hong Wu Yang and Ming Li to join the celebration of Chinese New Year party and performing Chinese Opera "Monkey King". John & Penny Wang lead the artists Hong Wu Yang and Ming Li to Brooklyn and happily performed the Monkey King for more then 400 Chinese and American senior citizens. It was a pleasant trip and appreciated audience had enjoyed very much with Hong Wu Yang's Monkey performance.
